I was just wondering what is going on out there?
I am always seeing these potentially great games being released on the the PS2, XBox and PC but not on the Game Cube.
Games like Van Helsing- its being released on the PS2, XBox and GameBoy Advance- Why not the GameCube?!? I mean- lets face it- the Cube is more advanced than the PS2 (and of course the GBA) and has proved itself graphically against the mighty XBOX. So why are companies missing it out? But not the GBA?
The only thing I can think of is that it could be difficult to program for. But surely Nintendo would have thought of that- what with the problems they had on the N64. I mean Sega sorted it out after the Saturn turned out to be a b*tch to program for -making the Dreamcast p*ss easy to make games for -hence the thousands of homebrew games out there. And if this is the case- I still don't see why they are missing it out- as the PS2 is notoriously hard to program for, but I suppose the companies think its worth the effort there as they know that the games will sell, even if they are poo.
Any thoughts on this guys? It really saddens me that the GameCube owners are missing out on some good games.

I think it's pretty much been a proven fact that third-party games don't sell nearly as well on the Cube as they sell on the PS2 and Xbox.
Most Cube owners buy it just for the first-party and second-party games, anyway.

Well perhaps if they tried to release some good third party games -people might actually buy them.
The only company that seems to release its games on all formats is Electronic Arts- and in my personal opinion they haven't made a truly decent game since the Megadrive/Snes days. Maybe they released a few winners on the Saturn and PS1. But those games were usually created and developed by its in-house developers- like BullFrog and Westwood Studios. But now that they seem to have actually bought out these companies and changed it so they are all under the EA company name, the games haven't been nearly as good.
Especially the James Bond games. I've said it once, Ill say it many times more- Goldeneye on the N64 is by far the best James Bond game I have played, even though the graphics and game engine is inferior to the new ones. It is so much more fun than the rest and keeps well to the film. I'm going to be shocked if Goldeneye 2 is actually a decent game. If only RARE had kept the rights to the games..
